Global Procurement Manager (d/m/f)

About the role  

  

The Global Procurement Manager secures supply and delivers cost efficiency and additional value in procurement programs by developing and executing supply stream strategies by having an expert view on business demands and supplier market.

What you will do 

 

  • Secures supply, delivers cost efficiency´s and additional value for the Supply Streams 

  • Drives a total cost approach by delivering cost savings, cash flow and added-value improvements 

  • Develops, anchors and executes Supply Stream strategies for their respective business units and category´s  e.g. identifying and driving key initiatives for cost saving targets 

  • Reviewing and challenging the supplier base portfolio, based on market and business needs 

  • Enables innovative discussions for new materials from suppliers to support total cost-in-use reductions. 

  • Performs risk management analysis, including financial risk analysis of suppliers 

  • Negotiates agreements e.g. supply agreements, confidentiality agreements 

  • Benchmarks prices and ensures cost transparency on a regular basis (internally and externally) and monitors and reports cost driver development 

  • Close cooperation and alignment with operational procurement and Stakeholder ensuring similngless mplementation and deployment.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred. Significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 

  • Minimum 3+ years of related medical products experience required, 5 or more years preferred 

  • Supply chain and/or procurement experience in a relevant field 

  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment 

  • Strong international negotiation and analytical skills 

  • Teamplayer, strong communicator and good stakeholder management 

  • SAP/Ariba experience preferred or related large ERP system experience required 

  • Must have ability to travel up to 25% and international travel required 

  • English and german skills on a high level
