Warehouse Manager

We are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team in Kawerau, New Zealand, and play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations.

About the Role:


As the Warehouse Manager, you will assist the GM Manufacturing in managing and overseeing the operational requirements related to the distribution of manufactured goods. Your responsibilities will include managing site storage areas, inbound pulp processes, inventory accuracy, materials handling equipment, and employee relations. You will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and provide strategic advice to the GM, influencing broader business effectiveness and efficiency.

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FSC, ISO, WHS).
  • Conduct internal audits, reviews, and corrective actions.
  • Manage transportation of finished goods to distribution centers and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
  • Analyze and report on production variances daily.
  • Automate manual processes and improve master data integrity.
  • Drive excellence in RESH (Risk, Environment, Safety, and Health) practices.
  • Conduct regular catchups and toolbox meetings.
  • Monitor key metrics related to absenteeism, overtime, and employee satisfaction.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced in Sales & Operations Planning Processes and Supply Chain Planning Concepts.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, especially SAP.
  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
  • Able to prioritize, multi-task, and make robust decisions under pressure.
  • Effective communicator at all levels, dealing with a diverse workforce.
  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Accounting, Business, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Warehouse Management or similar.
  • MPI Accredited Persons and Transitional Facility Officer accreditations.
