About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed qualified Electrical Technician to work on days (37.5hrs/week) to support this journey via providing expert technical knowledge and work along side the operation to help build the knowledge of the teams, along with help deliver best in class results.
What You Will Do
As an Electrical Technician you will become a fully integrated member of the day support team. You will use your technical expertise and knowledge to improve the day to day operational efficiency of our machinery, by ensuring regular and efficient maintenance is carried out.
You will solve problems quickly and effectively to support the overall aim of hitting key performance indicators (KPI’s) and stretch targets. Carrying out both predictive and reactive work you will work both independently and as part of a shift team.
You will bring with you experience of PLC’s, either Siemens or Allen Bradley controlled equipment, servo invertor drives together with a ‘fix it for good’ mentality. You will also need to be comfortable in working with large scale plant and machinery and have a passion for safety.
Who You Are
Proven Electrical and Instrumentation experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing or process environment
A recognised electrical or electrical/instrument engineering apprenticeship preferably with a City & Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualification
Proven experience in maintaining complex automated manufacturing systems and equipment
Excellent trouble shooting skills, with the ability to plan and work to tight timelines while managing several tasks
Experience in panel wiring
Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic components
Strong communication skills
Strong PC skills (excel, word, project)
HNC level qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent
