Demand Planning Director (d/f/m)
Are you ready to shape demand planning at a Business Unit level? As Demand Planning Director, reporting within the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) function for the Consumer Tissue business unit, you will lead and develop the demand planning community, drive best‑in‑class processes, and ensure transparent, assumption‑based plans that support business performance and long‑term growth.
About the Role
The Demand Planning Director leads the demand planning agenda for the Consumer Tissue Business Unit, driving best‑in‑class processes and ways of working to develop unbiased, demand‑led business planning. This role will define the path and orchestrate the roadmap enabling the organization to reach world‑class, value‑creating demand plans and robust Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), while preparing the transition toward Integrated Business Planning (IBP).

What You Will Do
Strategic Demand Planning & IBP
Shape and drive the BU Demand Planning strategy and roadmap, ensuring strong alignment with Integrated Business Planning, global standards, and company decision‑making forums.
Define, orchestrate, and execute the IBP roadmap for the Business Unit, in close collaboration with the Demand Planning Excellence function.
Lead IBP, S&OP, and long‑term planning processes to deliver aligned, assumption‑based, and transparent consensus plans.
Ensure demand plans balance ambition and feasibility, clearly highlighting risks, opportunities, and trade‑offs to support executive decision‑making.
Leadership and Business Partnership
Lead, coach, and develop a global demand planning community across geographies, fostering engagement, accountability, and continuous capability building.
Act as a trusted business partner to BU commercial teams and cross‑functional stakeholders, ensuring transparent and assumption‑based planning.
Represent the “voice of demand” within the Business Unit and in S&OP and long‑term planning forums.
Contribute to the Consumer Tissue end‑to‑end Supply Chain strategy, acting as an ambassador for demand planning across the organization.
Process Excellence and Transformation
Drive the transformation and standardization of demand planning processes and ways of working across countries and regions, in line with global templates.
Define and continuously optimize demand planning capabilities in partnership with the Demand Planning Excellence team.
Ensure effective short‑term demand planning and order management processes, supporting realistic and executable plans.
Act as a change agent, increasing efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness across the planning landscape.
Analytics, Digital and Performance
Partner with forecasting and analytics teams to deliver accurate, unbiased, and data‑driven demand plans.
Leverage key demand performance metrics (e.g. bias, accuracy at lead time) to benchmark performance and drive continuous improvement.
Accelerate the adoption of digital tools and advanced planning technologies, staying connected to external and industry trends.
Actively contribute to global demand planning networks, partnering with Demand Planning Excellence and process owners to deploy processes consistently and sustainably.
Who You Are
University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of international leadership experience in Demand planning, S&OP and IBP, within large, complex supply chain environments and across multiple regions, ideally in FMCG.
Demonstrated capability to design and lead large-scale transformation journeys, with clear and measurable impact on business performance.
Deep knowledge of forecasting methodologies, statistics, AI/ML forecasting and planning systems (e.g., SAP S/4, IBP, Anaplan).
Proven change leadership experience within complex matrix organizations .
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven leadership experience in multicultural environments.
Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
